There was only one minor hiccup – or blowup, one might say – at this year’s June 24th Masonic Celebration in Florala.

However, all ended well, after a firework mishap that left only the pier injured at the end of the grand finale show.

Otherwise, this weekend’s event went beautifully, with scores the city streets and shores of Lake Jackson lined with people.

Crowd numbers swelled as the weekend’s severe weather held off Saturday for the parade and afternoon festivities.
