Water fun can cause damage

In response to “Just Hangin,” the boats that produce wakes are causing costly damage to the shoreline at Point A. Our family owns a cabin on Point A located at the end of Bush Isle Road where the river starts to narrow. When these wake boats come by, waves actually come over the sea wall into the yard. This is causing a serious erosion problem which over time will collapse the seawalls. Residents who don’t have a seawall are seeing their yards eaten away. It’s one thing to have fun, but it’s another thing when you are causing damage that requires costly repairs. Please, if you have a wake boat, respect our property and stay in the large lake area.
