BLONDELL B. YANCEY

Blondell B. Yancey, 78, of Hogansville, Ga., passed away on Tues., July 2, 2013, at Hospice LaGrange.

She was born Sept. 9, 1934, in Brooks, the daughter of the late Elbert J. Bush Sr. and Estelle Gorum Bush. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Yancey Mobile Home Moving Inc., before retiring.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Earl Yancey of Hogansville, Ga.; daughter, Regina Bearden; daughter, Myra Yancey; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Robin Yancey; grandson, Cory Yancey; granddaughter, Katie Yancey; two sisters, Nolia Mae Bush and Clodia Faye Bush; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. (EST) on Sat., July 6, at Faith Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Chapman and Donald Yancey officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery in Red Level at 3:30 p.m. (CST).

Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 at Faith Baptist Church.

GEORGE S. LAMONT SR.

George S. Lamont Sr., of Lowndesville, S.C., formerly of the Andalusia area, passed away on June 13, 2013, at his residence.

Memorial graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Sat., July 6, at New Home Cemetery with Pastor Robert Canant officiating the service. Visitation with the family will be at the cemetery.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, George Stewart and Sandy Lamont Jr. of Augusta, Ga., Stephen and Carolyn Lamont of Montevallo and John and Andrea Lamont of Iva, S.C.; his daughters and sons-in-law, Rosalyn Menchew of Iva, S.C., Elisabeth and Joe Reed of Milwaukee, Wis., Melissa Manley (Peter Escalera) of Tupelo, Miss., and Juliet and Morgan Riley of Andalusia; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren, including a very special granddaughter, Danielle Lamont.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nell Lamont; his son, Shannon Lamont; and his grandson, Chris Lamont.
