The City of Andalusia needs players for its fall baseball and softball league, especially in the 12U boys and girls divisions.

Andalusia’s department of leisure services extended registration for the fall ball league until Friday.

“We need anyone interested to come sign up,” Caitlin Shipman, the city’s program coordinator of athletics said.

Currently, the city has an average of 17 participants signed up in each age division.

The age divisions, along with the number of participants are listed below:

• 8U boys, 26

• 10U boys, 24

• 12U boys, 16

• 8U girls, 13

• 10U girls, 14

• 12U girls, 10

Shipman said those who have already signed up to encourage others who aren’t playing fall sports to give fall ball a try.

“We need more 12U boys and girls in all the divisions to have enough for two teams,” she said.

Additionally, those who are interested in coaching will need to fill out a form for the fall season.

Registration is held at Johnson Park each day from 1-5 p.m. until Friday.
