Red Level fell 41-8 to Kinston in region action Friday night.

The Tigers trailed 13-0 at halftime, and the Bulldogs took a 28-0 lead in the second half to pull away.

RLS head football coach David Godwin said the players played well in the first half.

“We moved the ball a little better than we have the first couple of games,” Godwin said.

After KHS went ahead 28-0, Godwin said “we went back and from from there.”

Kn’yn Jones was the lone scorer for Red Level in the loss. He scored after the Tigers posted a 11-play drive.

Next week, RLS will have its fourth road game in a row at Samson.
