Coterie’s annual 5K, fun run is Oct. 26

The 13th Annual Coterie Club “Run for Kids” will be held on Sat., Oct. 26. This year participants may register prior to the race on Fri., Oct. 25, from 5:30 until 7 p.m. at Andalusia City Hall or the day of the race on the front lawn of City Hall from 7 a.m. till 8:30 a.m.

The 5 K run/walk for all ages will begin at 9 a.m. and the starting line will be in front of the First United Methodist Church. At 10 a.m., the Coterie Club will host Meredith’s Mile for children ages 3 to 16, starting in the CCB parking lot. Then at 10:30 a.m. the Tot Trot for children ages 0 – 4 years old will be held in front of City Hall. The registration fees are as follows: 5K pre race $12, day of race $15; Meredith’s Mile pre race $10, day of $12; Tot Trot is free. T-shirts are available for purchase without race participation for $15.

The awards presentation will be on the front lawn of City Hall at 11 a.m. Racers are awarded trophies, medallions, and door prizes. The Coterie Club members are selling $1 chances to win one of five $50 cash prizes to be given away race day. You do not have to be present to win.

Thanks to the participants and sponsors, Coterie Club donated approximately $14,300 to different projects and community events last year.
