Florala defeated Georgiana 40-22 to get its fifth win of the season Friday night in Panthers territory.

Wildcats head football coach Bubba Nall said the players did well.

“In the second half, we played well offensively,” Nall said. “Contrary to our defense giving up 22 points, they played well, too.

“Our kids play hard and are resilient,” he said. “We do what we do on offense.”

Kyle Price threw touchdown passes to Tanner Rodgers and Avery McNeil; and Brandon Russell, along with Austin West had scoring runs in the effort.

“In the second half, we pulled the pitch to get players out on the edge,” Nall said. “That opened up us running our midline and veer in the middle.”

In other 1A action, Red Level lost 55-0 to Brantley.

FHS finishes its 2013 season next week at Fruitdale, while the Tigers host Prattville Christian Academy.
