The Covington County Probate Office reported more than $13,000 in tag sales through its on-line program for the last four business days of October. According to Assistant Chief Clerk Tracy Lawson, this represents 138 tags sold to 54 customers. It also represents something much more important.

“Our on-line business continues to grow and we hope all our customers will feel comfortable in giving it a try,” Probate Judge Ben Bowden said. “It’s open 24/7 and there’s never a line.”

The on-line renewal process can be initiated at www.covingtonprobate.com. Consumers should have a renewal card, insurance card, driver’s license, and credit/debit card handy when they begin the on-line renewal process.
