Andalusia dropped out of the top 10 of the final Alabama Sports Writers Association football poll.

The Bulldogs received 15 votes, 53 behind Munford, who is No. 9, where they were last week.

AHS fell 33-25 to a good Class 6A Fairhope last week, who didn’t receive any votes in the poll.

Straughn stayed at No. 10 in Class 3A, despite not having a game last week.

Andalusia and Straughn will host the first round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s state playoffs Friday night.

The Bulldogs (8-2) have Childersburg, while the Tigers (7-2) play Northside.
