Holley, who retired in 2013 after a 36-year career in education, served as a teacher, coach and principal in the Florala area, as well as the county school system’s superintendent.

“I am a product of the Covington County School System, raised my three children and now, have my grandchildren in this system,” Holley said. “I was born and raised in the Florala/Lockhart area. I spent the majority of my career serving the students in Florala in the elementary, middle and high schools.

“I feel so blessed to have ended my career as superintendent of this fine school system, serving all of the Covington County Schools, and I feel still have a lot I can contribute to the students of Covington County,” he said.

Holley and his wife of 35 years Joyce, have three children – Alisha (Daniel) Odom; Amber (Chase) Amis; and Issac Holley – and four grandchildren and one on the way.
