Opp police looking to public for help

Opp Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for the theft of several golf carts and a trailer from a local business.

According to OPD, three EZ-Go golf carts, as well as a 16-foot trailer were stolen from J.R.’s Lawnmower Shop on Cummings Ave. sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.

The missing merchandise includes: one EZ-Go golf cart, black in color, with a rear seat; one EZ-Go golf cart, patriot blue in color, with a rear seat; one EZ-go golf cart, forest green in color, with a cargo box; and one Caliber utility trailer, 16×7 feet, with a drop-down gate.

OPD officials are asking that anyone with any information about the stolen merchandise contact the police department at 334.493.4511, extension 3. The names of anyone providing information will be kept confidential.
