Christmas shopping could get easier for someone tonight, when the Andalusia City Council draws the next winning Andy Bucks ticket at tonight’s meeting at 6.

If that ticket is presented at city hall within the next 30 days, the winner will receive $1,000 in “Andy Bucks” to be spent with participating merchants. If the prize is not claimed, it will be rolled over, and the next winner will receive $2,000 in Andy Bucks.

Participating merchants include Ansley Place, Barrow’s Furniture, Beef O’ Brady’s, Brooks Hardware, Christopher’s, Darby’s, David’s Catfish , Delta Lighting, Andalusia Farmer’s Co-Op, Harold’s Furnter, Ireland Trailer, Lee’s Samauri, Mary Kay Consultants, Pale Moon Yarns, Singer’s, Sporting Lifestyles, Two Guys Pies, Walker Business, Ward & Co., and Yo’ Cravin.

The meeting is broadcast on the Andy Cable access channel. The Star-News will immediately post the winning number to its web site and Facebook page this evening.
