Andalusia’s BJ Donaldson finished one place higher than the top 16 in the 100-yard breaststroke event at the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s state swim meet at Auburn University’s James A. Martin Aquatics Center on Friday.

Donaldson finished the breaststroke event in 1 minute, and 6.07 seconds.

In the 50-yard freestyle event, the AHS senior finished in 23.16 seconds, taking 19th.

Cali Fillmer finished the girls 100-yard freestyle in 1:06.87, and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:05.77 to garner the No. 31 and 35 seeds, respectively.

The top 16 from each swim event advance to the state finals.
