Covington Electric Cooperative customers in the Carolina Community now have a chance to give back to their community.

On CEC bills, customers have an option to donate to area organizations. The Carolina Volunteer Fire Department has been added to that list.

Lori Fyte, wife of CVFD fire chief David Fyte, said the funds will be used to purchase equipment.

“We would really appreciate if Carolina residents would donate,” Fyte said.

Checks are sent from CEC to area organizations quarterly, Fyte said.
