BEDIE ESTELLE CHAVERS DAVIS

Bedie Estelle Chavers Davis, 99, formerly of Andalusia, passed away peacefully on Mon., Jan. 13, 2014, at her residence in Evergreen with her granddaughter, Debbie, by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thu., Jan. 14, at Foreman Funeral Home with Brother Andy Peavy officiating and burial following in the Adellum Cemetery.

Visitation will be held tonight at Foreman Funeral Home from 5-8.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Nell (Hinton) Boggan of Wing; her brothers, Bob Chavers of Lakeland, Fla., and Joe Chavers of Buffalo, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Debbie Pemberton of Evergreen, Leroy Denny of Jasper, Darren Denny of Andalusia, Teresa Steele of Andalusia, Susan Brooks of Troy and Regina Hammond of Jasper, Fla.; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Davis; her son, Walter Hammond; her daughter, Dot Atchinson; her grandsons, Lamar Hammond, Michael Hammond and Ronald Anderson; her granddaughter, Brenda Sue Anderson; her brothers, Carl Chavers and Crawford Chavers; and her sisters, Minola Grissett and Margaret Miller.
