Work will soon begin on nearly $1 million on two ATRIP projects in Covington County.

County Engineer Darren Capps said Wednesday that agreements were in hand for the resurfacing work on a 3.26-mile section of County Road 70, from County Road 77 to U.S. 331, and a 3.9-mile section of County Road 4, from Ala. Hwy. 54 at the Geneva County line.

On Wednesday, commissioners approved resolutions for the projects, authorizing agreement with the Alabama Department of Transportation.
Capps said each project is estimated at more than $500,000.
