Sav-A-Life of Covington County held a Sanctity of Human Life candle- lighting/prayer vigil in the Covington County Courthouse last night.

Wednesday marked the 41st anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s controversial Roe v. Wade decision, which prompted a national debate that continues today about issues including whether, and to what extent, abortion should be legal, who should decide the legality of abortion. It is believed that more than 54 million babies have been aborted in the U.S. the past 41 years since Jan. 22, 1973.
