Andalusia will begin its 2014 football season at home against T.R. Miller on Aug. 22.

The Bulldogs released their newly-minted schedule shortly after the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s Central Board of Control approved a new round of reclassification realignments, and allowing football teams 11 weeks to schedule 10 games at its winter meeting last month.

Additionally, the board voted to approve a seventh classification at the meeting.

Andalusia will be playing in Class 4A, Region 2 with Trinity Presbyterian, Ashford, St. James, Bullock County, Headland, Montgomery Catholic and rival Straughn.

Bulldogs head football coach Brian Seymore confirmed Tuesday afternoon that his team will start its regular season in the home game against TRM. The Opp game will be held at week six on Sept. 26 at home, and the region game against SHS will be the final regular-season contest.

Andalusia will have an open week for its Oct. 31 date.
