GWENDOLYN MCKATHAN REED

Gwendolyn McKathan Reed, 82, of Milton, Fla., formerly of the Pleasant Home community, passed away Tues., Feb. 11, 2014, in a Pensacola, Fla., nursing facility.

Funeral services will be held Fri., Feb., 14, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Home Baptist Church. Judge Ashley McKathan and the Rev. Fred Kelley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thurs., Feb. 13, 2014, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Reed is survived by her husband, Hollie Reed of Milton; son, Jerry (Mary Beth) Thomason of Milton; step-son, Mike (Cindy) Reed of Milton; brothers, Miles (Ruth) McKathan of Mobile, Ala.; Luke (Joshlyn) McKathan of Ocala, Fla.; sister, Shirley Smith of Pleasant Home; grandchildren, Jay Thomason, Jennifer Crider, Randy Thomason, and Mike Reed; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons, Paul Thomason, Steve Thomason, Joey Thomason and brother, Garnal McKathan.
