Pleasant Home beat Red Level 14-3 in area softball action earlier tonight.

The Lady Tigers made it a little difficult for PHS as they only trailed 2-1 through the first few innings of the game.

However, the Lady Eagles’ hitting and pitching prevailed.

Anna Bulger reached base four times in the contest and went 2-for-2 with a single, a triple and had four stolen bases. Cassidy Godwin went 1-for-2 with a sac fly and one RBI; Abby Walker went 2-for-3 with a single, a triple and a stolen base.

Walker started the game on the mound and struck out five while allowing one earned run to get the win.

Taylor McGhee struck out four and allowed no earned runs for the save.

PHS coach Bradley Stephens said this was a game where the girls were trying to “knock the rust” off, and hopefully get ready for Straughn, which his team plays against tonight.

Red Level’s Meredith Nall, Layden Lee and Grayson Lee scored one run each for the Lady Tigers.

Lady Tigers coach Heath Watkins said the girls are defeating the teams they’re supposed to beat, and are getting better with each outing.

RLS visits Hillcrest-Evergreen tonight in a regular-season action.
