There’s a first for just about everything.

Opp Middle School’s baseball had a first of its own as the Bobcats played their first baseball game in team history at Merchants Field earlier tonight.

OMS defeated Brantley’s junior varsity squad 9-5.

Brantley led 3-2 after the first inning, but a seven-run third for the Bobcats gave the good guys a 9-4 advantage.

Lane Worley went 1-for-2 with two runs; Gage Prescott went 1-for-2 with a single; Tylur Schively had a single; Garrett Bowers went 3-for-3; Ethan Baker went 2-for-2 with a double; Trey Moody went 2-for-3 with a double; and Spurlin Kelley went 1-for-2 with a single.

The Bobcats visit W.S. Neal tomorrow night to continue their first season.
