HOBSON MARTIN

Hobson (Junior) Martin, 84, of Dozier, passed away on Sun., March 16, 2014. Funeral services will be held at Wed., March 19, at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Georgiana, with Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements. The family will receive friends today, Tues., March 18, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.

Martin is survived by his daughter, Judy Abna of Union City, Ga.; son, Wayne Martin of Buford, Ga.; step-daughter, Tracey Smith, of Georgiana; sisters, Faye Gipson, Ima J. Bush and Frances Walker, all of Georgiana; grandchild, Leah Waters of MacDonald, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Shelby Water and Allie Waters, both of MacDonald.

ANNIE LAURA MESSICK
Annie Laura Messick, 79, of Opp, passed away Mon., March 17, 2014, at Mizell Memorial.

Funeral services will be held today, Tues., March 18, at 2 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Boles officiating. Interment will follow in the Weed Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services at Keahey Funeral Home.

Messick is survived by one brother, Cloy Messick of Mobile; four sisters, Judy (Glen) Gibson of Andalusia, Mary (Cleatus) Maddox of Andalusia, Betty Edgar of Ozark and Lena Morgan of Andalusia; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Messick, Jonas “Pete” Messick, Stant Messick and Jerry Messick, and nephew, Fred Kelley.

LEROY ODOM

Leroy Odom, 75, of Red Level, passed away Wed., March 12, 2014, in a local hospital.

Funeral services were held Sat., March 15, at Welcome Church. The Rev. Dennis Knowles officiated. Special music was provided by Larry Pittman. Interment followed in the Kervin Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Odom is survived by sister, Betty Oglesby of Red Level; three nieces, Debbie (Ralph) Bush of Loango, Patricia (Jason) Dean of McKenzie and Marlon (Ronald) Worrells of Red Level; great nieces and nephews, Jessica Bush, Alison Oglesby, Jason Wesley Dean, Brittany Anderson, Marlee Worrells, Santana Oglesby, Ivy Goolsby, Abigail Goolsby,  Saben Elmore, Will Anderson and Chloe Anderson; and cousin Glenda Ivey.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Allie Odom; three sisters, France Odom, Maybelle Odom and Vera Odom; and brother-in-law, John Oglesby.
Pallbearers were Jason Wesley Dean, Colt Epps, Randall Dean, Steven Worley, Lamar Burgans and Mac Pittman.

WAYNE GREY HOLLOWAY

Wayne Grey Holloway, 73, of Red Level, passed away Wed., March 12, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Sun., March 16, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Billy Boles officiated.  Graveside services were held Monday at the Robinson Cemetery with full military honors

Holloway was survived by his wife, Debra Holloway of Red level; sons, David Holloway of Gadsden, Shawn (Angie) Holloway of Luverne; daughters, Deborah Holloway of Gadsden and Keelie (Shae) Kelley of Red Level; step-children, Cheveron Thomas, Crystal Thomas and Lora Mullins; brothers, John Holloway of Phenix City; grandchildren, Jackson Holloway, Jacob Holloway, JonDavis Holloway, Macee Holloway, Joshua Holloway, Lindsey White, Justin Hughes, Dylan Garner, Ashley Mullins, Kyle Owens, Truss Thomas, Konner Owens, Kyla Owens, Chase Mullins and Alana Thomas; and three great-grandchildren.

HINTON BOGGAN

Hinton Boggan, 91, of Wing, passed away Fri., March 14, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Sun., March 16 at Beda Baptist Church.  The Rev. Jonathon Jones and the Rev. Dennis Knowles officiated. Interment followed in the Beda Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors and Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Boggan is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ima Nell Boggan; son, John Mark (Joan) Boggan of Wing, daughters, Linda Gail (Bill) Armstrong of Birmingham and Miriam (Elliott) Wheeler of Opp; brother, Charles Boggan of Mobile; grandchildren, Daniel Boggan, David Bogan, Karen (Jeff) McKennie,  Tonya (Jay) Merrifield, Jan (Jody) Kelley, Harmony (Damon) McCoy and Cherish Hughes; great-grandchildren, Andrew Galloway, Micah McKennie, Sarah McKennie, Abby (Michael) Pipkin, Serenity McCoy, Real McCoy and Conner Kelley; and  great, great-grandchild Mark Pipkin.
