Pleasant Home principal Craig Nichols said the school has received quite a bit of interest in the vacant head coaching job for the Eagles’ football program.

During a telephone interview, Nichols said he posted the job opening on Thursday afternoon and that in a week or two, he hopes to start interviewing candidates.

“We’ve had a lot of interest,” Nichols said.

Former PHS coach Cody McCain submitted his resignation from the school to the Covington County Board of Education earlier this week.

McCain was hired as the new head coach at Class 3A’s Clements High School, and his last day at PHS will be April 11.
