Officials with Andalusia Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say robbed a gas station attendant at gun point over the weekend.

According to information released Tuesday by APD Lt. Barney Tyree, a clerk working at the Cannon Oil Station, located at 1305 W. River Falls Street, was robbed Friday night at approximately 9:38 by an unknown black male with a gun. The suspect was captured on film by security cameras in the store wearing a bandana over his face, and officials say he is between six feet, two inches and six feet, five inches tall, with a slender build, and appears to be in his late teens or early twenties.

No one was hurt during the incident, but Tyree said the assailant made off with an undetermined amount of cash.

Tyree said APD officials are asking that anyone with any information as to the identity of the suspect, or his whereabouts, contact APD at 334-222-1155.
