FRANCES MERLE GRIFFIN

Frances Merle Griffin, 86, of Heath, died Sun., July 27, 2014, at her residence. A memorial service will be held Fri., Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church in the Heath community.

Griffin is survived by her daughter, Juniorette Smith of Andalusia; sister, Joyce (Mickey) Sharp of Andalusia; brothers, James (Pat) Massey of Prattville and Ray Massey of Milton, Fla.; grandchildren, Griffin (Holly) Smith of Auburn, Mathew (Shelli) Smith of Andalusia and Kellye (Kevin) Rodgers of Andalusia; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Griffin; mother, Myrtle Kilpatrick; father, Lee Bryan; brother, Waylon Bryan; sister, Voncile Sasser; and son-in-law, Roger Smith.

JAMES RAWLS

James Rawls, 77, of Dozier, died Mon., July 28, 2014, at his residence. Graveside services will be today, Thurs., July 31 at 10 a.m. at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Walter Brewer officiating with Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Rawls is survived by his son, James Virgil “Jimbo” Rawls (Judith) of Washington D.C.; daughter, Tammy (David) Boothe of Montgomery; grandchildren, Sasha (Jason), Lofton, Micah Rawls, Josh (Ashley) Taylor and Chris Boothe; and six great grandchildren.
