What is your future?

Only two possibilities exist.

All other promises are false.

The declaration that we cease to be when we die physically, for example. God declares that all souls are His.

Every person will have to answer to their Maker.

On the authority of God we present your future, unless you accept His gift of eternal life through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Your future as a son of Adam is described in Revelations chapter 20, verses 11-15.

These verses tell us that God will be seated on a great white throne and all the dead, both small and great, will stand before Him, to be judged from one of the books.

In these books, probably recorded by the angels, are the works, good and bad, of all the dead.

The “dead” refers to being dead spiritually.

This includes all who are not redeemed by the blood of the Lamb-the Lord Jesus.

The purpose of this judgment is to set the severity of the individuals torment, based on his, or her, works.

Your works will all be recorded in heaven in one of the books.

Your judge will have you cast into the lake of fire, to which the devil, the beast and the false prophet have already been sent.

Should you protest, “but Lord, I have done many wonderful works in your name.”

However, there is another book, ‘the book of life’; “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Rev. 20:15)

You cannot get your name into the book of life by works.

The only way to get your name recorded there is to have the works of another accredited to your account; those of the Lord Jesus Christ.

For this to happen, you must come as a guilty, hell-deserving sinner to the foot of the cross and humbly ask for forgiveness for your rebellion against a Holy God.

Failure to do this will result in you having the devil, the beast and the false prophet as your company, ( along with all the other spiritually dead), in the lake of fire forever and ever.

Is this the future you choose?

I pray not.

Again, on the authority of God, we present your future, if you are a son of God.

Our future as a son of God is described in Revelations, chapter 21, verses 1-7.

We all like new things.

In these verses, we are told that we will reside in a new heaven, a new earth and a new city.

But best of all, God Himself will dwell with us.

We rejoice also in the following promises: “…God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things have passed away, (verse 4)”

As if this was not enough, verse 7 blows the mind: “He that overcometh shall inherit .all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”

Verse 6 reveals how we can overcome. The Lord Jesus said, “…I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.” (Underlines added.)

Which future is yours?

The only way to escape the lake of fire is to overcome sin and the devil.

You cannot, but the Lord Jesus has, and He will enable you to do the same, if you repent of your sins and and rebellion and plead the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus as vour only right to God’s forgiveness.
