Straughn swept Opp 25-11, 26-24, 25-17 in varsity volleyball action Thursday night at OHS.

“We played hard and the girls really jelled,” SHS head volleyball coach Daniel Rodgers said. “They found a way to get it done.”

In middle school action, the Lady Bobcats had the upper hand, winning 25-10, 25-14; and Straughn’s junior varsity won 25-21, 25-23.

Straughn visits Ashford on Tuesday in Class 4A, Area 2 action. Opp visits Andalusia on the road.

In other area action, Pleasant Home swept Red Level, 3-0, to start out strong in Class 1A, Area 3 action.
