Pleasant Home’s Lady Eagles bumped up to No. 8 in Class 1A in this week’s AL.com volleyball poll.

PHS beat Kinston 3-1 in regular-season fashion on Tuesday night to improve to 9-2 on the season. Last Thursday, the Lady Eagles beat Opp.

In regular season action, the Lady Eagles take on the Lady Wildcats in Florala tonight.

Sacred Heart, Donoho, Isabella, Ragland and Decatur Heritage were placed in the top five. Spring Garden and Marion County hold the No. 6 and 67 spots, respectively.

Athens Bible and Meek are No. 9 and 10, respectively.

Straughn (6-0) was nominated in Class 4A, but not ranked.
