MYRTLE RUSSELL GANUS

Mrs. Myrtle Russell Ganus, 73, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Nov. 9, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 12, at the Keahey Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Ed Ganus will officiate. Interment will follow in the Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery, with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m., at the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel.

Survivors include her son, Joey (Nathena) Ganus of Maryville, Tenn.; daughters, Kay Brannon (Brian Chance) of Gantt, Diane G. (Mike) Watson of Red Level, Jennifer (Kenneth) Burgans of Gantt, Wendy (Russell) Thompson of Andalusia and Joni (Larry) Brown of Andalusia; brothers, Tommie Russell of Opp and Rex (Joan) Russell of Andalusia; sisters, Hazel Searcy and Betty Jean Rhodes, all of Andalusia; grandchildren, Dana Brannon, Duston Brannon, Anthony Carter, Hannah Carter, Alex Thompson, Ali Brown, Taylor Brown and Isaac Ganus; great-grandchild, Hayden Brannon; and eight step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years and the father of her children, Elmer Ganus.

 

JAMES ANDREW “ANDY” RILEY

Mr. James Andrew “Andy” Riley, 74, of the Carolina community, passed away Sat., Nov. 8, 2014, in UAB Hospital.

Funeral services will be today at 11 a.m., at the Carolina Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Boles and Jim Garner officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Riley of Andalusia; his sons and daughter-in-law, Tim Riley of Andalusia and Donnie and Barbie Griggs of Red Level; a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Chad Hughes of Andalusia; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Wiggins of Andalusia; three brothers, Pete Riley, of Andalusia, Rhett Riley of Auburn and Ralph Riley of Andalusia.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Griggs, Justin Griggs, Dodd Riley, Sam Hughes, Brett Twiner and Jonathan Jones.
