RONALD LEE MICHAUX

Mr. Ronald Lee Michaux, 68, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., Nov. 19, 2014, in a Crestview, Fla., nursing home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Fri., Nov. 21, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Pritchett officiating. Interment will follow in Bushfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be today at 5:30 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his brother, Stephen Michaux of Andalusia; and two sisters, Alma Speers and Aurelia Seek of Wilkes Barre, Pa.

VIVIAN S. TURNER

Mrs. Vivian S. Turner, 89, passed away on Mon., Nov. 17, 2014, in a local nursing home after an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Turner.

She is survived by a daughter, Martha Turner Terry (Frank); son, William Terry Turner (Carolyn); grandchildren, William Grant Terry (Holly Margaret) of Mexico Beach, Fla., Carrie Turner Thomasson (Clay) and Amy Turner.

She was an anatomical donor to UAB.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

 

HAZEL SANDERS MOORE

Mrs. Hazel Sanders Moore, 84, of Anniston and formerly of Carrollton, Ga., passed away on Mon., Nov. 17, 2014.

The funeral service for Mrs. Moore will be today at 10 a.m., at the Oxford Church of Christ, where she was a member. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery, alongside her late husband.

She was born Hazel Marjorie Sanders in Luverne, on May 6, 1930. She graduated from Luverne High School and attended Troy State University and the University of Alabama.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Dr. W. Glenn Moore, whom she married on March 18, 1949. She was also preceded in death by her parents, James Virgil and Johnnie Redmon Sanders; and two brothers, Eugene and Carlton Sanders.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Vance Moore (Laura) of Anniston and Dr. Allan Moore (Teresa) of Manchester, Ga.; daughter, Sheri Moore Kell (Tain) of Marietta, Ga.; and six grandchildren, Matthew Moore, Andy Moore, Dr. Marie Moore Channell (Clifton), Katy Moore Wadsworth (Miles), Ally Moore and Carlton Kell; brother-in-law, Dr. Morgan Moore (Wilma) of Andalusia; and sister-in-law, Jeanette F. Moore of Little Rock, Ark.

She treasured all of her nieces and nephews, especially Reba Long, Rebecca Grail, Debbie Gregory and Edward Sanders.

Mrs. Moore cherished time with her family foremost, along with cooking, traveling and gardening, and was an avid bridge player in several clubs.

Pallbearers will be Andy Moore, Blake Gregory, Clifton Channell and Miles Wadsworth. Honorary pallbearers will be the elders of the Oxford Church of Christ.
