A Covington County man was airlifted from the scene of a one-vehicle wreck early Saturday morning after his vehicle left the road at the intersection of Hwy. 84 and County Road 21.

Law enforcement office blocked traffic on Hwy. 84 north of River Falls so that LifeFlight could land.

Rescue workers at the scene identified the victim as Chris Ammons.
