Two local football players were selected by their coaches to play for the 11-and-under Alabama All-Stars traveling football team.

Josh Gurley and Terrance “T-Man” Salter will travel to Atlanta for the 15th annual Turkey Day Classic. The tournament will have teams from 31 states competing for the national championship of youth football.

The Alabama-All Stars include players from Andalusia, Goshen, McKenzie, Luverne and Troy.

Salter will be the starting quarterback, and will also be starting on the defensive line.

Gurley will be the starting fullback, and will also be on the defensive line.

The coaches for the team are, head coach James McCreary of Luverne, Terrance “Turbo” Salter of Andalusia and Chuck Daniels of McKenzie.
