The Andalusia B-team Bulldogs were impressive in their home opener, defeating the Luverne Tigers 43-30 Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs shot the ball well all night, and held a 12-10 lead after the first period of play. The Bulldogs used good ball movement, and fast breaks to gain open shots.

In the second period, the Bulldog defense forced bad shots, and held Luverne to just two points. Good ball movement, and strong shot selections gave the Bulldogs a 26-12 half time lead.

The Bulldogs’ offense continued their tremendous shooting and defense in the third period. At the end of three periods of play, the Bulldogs held a 39-21 lead.

In the fourth, the Bulldogs didn’t score as much, but it wasn’t needed. The Bulldogs coasted to a 43-30 victory.

Jayden Brown and Zack Woods paced the Bulldogs with 10 points each.

The Tigers were led by Krishaun Hamilton with 9 points.

“We moved the ball pretty good,” Bulldogs’ coach Marshall Locke said. “We had some mental breakdowns on defense, but that can all be corrected. Overall the effort was there, and the mistakes can be fixed.”
