BOBBY GENE BROOK

Mr. Bobby Gene Brook, 79, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., Dec. 17, 2014, at Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sat., Dec. 20, at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Ganus officiating. Interment will follow in Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be one-hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mr. Brook served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He was a Vietnam veteran and also was a flight engineer on a C-130 airplane. He loved to fly.

Mr. Brook is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred Brook of Andalusia; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Terri Brook of Andalusia and Tim and Rita Brook of Dothan; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Carolyn Brook of Andalusia; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and John Butler of Wetumpka and Linda Sue and Leon Jackson of Deatsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Velma Brook; brother, Larry Brook; and sister, Margaret Fendley.

MINNIE ETTA WILSON

Mrs. Minnie Etta Wilson, 95, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., Dec.18, 2014, at Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., Dec. 20, 2014, in the Keahey Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Bobby Morgan and the Rev. Wayne Sharpe will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Enon Baptist Church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Family will receive friends one-hour prior to services.

Survivors include sister-in-law, Louise Harrell of Andalusia; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Alfred Harrell, Warren Harrell, Robert Harrell, Larry Harrell, Jerry Harrell and Donald Wilson.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Wilson.

Mrs. Minnie Etta Wilson was the last surviving member of the Green Harrell Sr. family.

Flowers will be accepted, or contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Angelo S. Agro M. D., 65, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., Dec. 15, 2014, in Birmingham.

Funeral services will be today at 1 p.m., Fri., Dec. 19, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Cindy Howard officiating.

The family will hold a visitation with friends following the service in the parrish hall at St. Mary’s.

He is survived by his wife, C. J. Agro of Andalusia; his children, Maria Agro of Columbia, S.C., Joseph Agro of Wilmington, Del., and Nicasia Goldman of Tallahassee, Fla.; a stepson, Darren Forry of Andalusia; and six grandchildren.

GODWIN

Mr. Elijah Lomax Godwin, 78, died Dec. 5, 2014, in a Fort Walton Beach, Fla., hospital as a result of a stroke.

Mr. Godwin was the oldest son of Ruby Bush Godwin and W.M. Godwin of the Pleasant Home community. A graduate of Pleasant Home High School, Godwin later served in the U.S. Navy before beginning his sales career. He lived most of his adult life in Birmingham,

He is survived by three sons, William (Connie) Godwin of Tuscaloosa, Kyle (Tina) Godwin and John (Michél) Godwin, both of Hoover; sister, Faye (Bobby) Price of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Tom (Jeane) Godwin of Evergreen and Bill (Judy) Godwin of Andalusia; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jo Edwards of Fort Walton Beach.

At Mr. Godwin’s request, his body was cremated and no memorial service was held.
