Miller blows out Lady Bobcats

The Opp Lady Bulldogs couldn’t keep pace with the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers, and were downed 54-13 Monday in the Red Level Christmas tournament.

 

 

 

The Lady Bobcats kept the score close in the first, and were only down 14-6. The Lady Tigers’ Shakera Nicholson had 7 points in the first. Ariyon Hightower had 2 points for the Lady Bobcats.

 

 

 

The Lady Tigers came out firing on all cylinders in the second period, and held a commanding 41-7 lead going into halftime. The Lady Tigers got strong efforts from all players on the court. Margaret Ruzic topped the Lady Tigers in scoring with 10 points. Abby Cox had the Lady Bobcats’ lone point in the second.

 

 

 

The Lady Bobcats continued to struggle from the floor in the third period, and fell behind 47-9. Hightower and Ratiya Peacock each pitched in a point for the Lady Bobcats. Mekhia Williams had 2 points for the Lady Tigers.

 

 

 

The Lady Bobcats never gave up and fought valiantly, but the speedy Lady Tigers were too much for the injury depleted Lady Bobcats to overcome. The final score was 54-13. Peacock and Dalis Smith had 2 points each for the Lady Bobcats in the final frame. Emonea Curry paced the Lady Tigers with 5 points in the fourth.

 

 

 

Peacock led the Lady Bobcats with 5 points.

 

 

 

Williams led the Lady Tigers with 13 points, and Ruzic finished with 12 points.
