The class 1A Pleasant Home Lady Eagles (19-8) and the Straughn Lady Tigers will continue to chase their dreams of a state title this weekend at the AHSAA South Regional in Dothan.

The Lady Eagles earned their spot in the regional playoffs with a 61-40 victory over McIntosh for the sub-regional championship. The Lady Eagles will face Georgiana in the first round of the regional tournament tonight at 6 p.m.

The Lady Tigers and Lady Bulldogs have met once the season, with the Lady Bulldogs winning 36-23. Since the loss to the Lady Bulldogs, they Lady Tigers have won 10 out of 11 games.

Senior starters Jacie Williamson, Katelyn Kinsaul, Janelle Nurse, Paige Taylor and Emily Wood will lead the Lady Tigers into battle. Brentley Armstrong and Harley Adcock are extremely important players off the bench for the Lady Tigers.
