Fred Mack Carter

Mr. Fred Mack Carter, age 69, of Andalusia died on Fri., Feb. 20, 2015, in Mizell Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held on Sun., Feb. 22, 2015, at 2 p.m. from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Elmore officiating. Interment followed in Old Bethel Cemetery.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ruby Williams Carter; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Eugene Horath and Brenda and Dwight Tanner; son, Kenneth Pate; grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Horath and Mandy (Keith) Bozeman; great-grandsons, Mason Bozeman, Matthew Bozeman, and Case Horath; great-grandchild on the way; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Mertha Carter and Donnie and Pauline Carter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace Cook, Nell and Vernon Johnson, Doris Carter, and Ann and Doug Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Lillie Carter; brother, Calvin Carter; and sister, Madge Stewart.

Katherine Elizabeth Hartley

Katherine Elizabeth Hartley, age 82, of Pensacola and formerly of Andalusia, passed away Wed., Feb. 18, 2015.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sat., Feb. 21, 2015, at the Keahey Funeral Home chapel. Interment followed in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her son, Dr. Ronald Perdue (Charlotte), of Mobile; daughter, Barbara Wise of Pensacola; grandchildren, Christy Hermance (Paul) of Pensacola, Chastity Helms (David) of Andalusia, Danny Wise (Victoria), Pensacola, Kevin Perdue of Lilburn, Ga., Robin Volpara (Gianni) of Pensacola, Christopher Perdue (Angelique) of Mobile, and Lauren Fay Perdue of Mobile; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lou Bass; brothers Willie Bush and John Bush; and a sister-in-law, Betty Bush.
