Drug Task Force officials found a gold mine of drugs when an agent made a traffic stop on U.S. 29 for numerous violations.

DTF Agent Greg Jackson stopped a white Nissan Altima, and inside he found a large amount of drugs.

Jackson told The Star-News Tuesday that he recovered 15 grams of heroin, 5 grams of methamphetamine, 200 Xanax, 50 oxycodone, 10 grams of crack cocaine and a quarter pound of marijuana.

Jackson arrested Taleasha McTear, 23 of Crestview, Fla., and Zachary Blake Walden, 35, of Gantt.

The pair was each charged with drug trafficking; possession of marijuana, unlawfully carrying a pistol and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They are being held in the Covington County Jail on a four bonds, totaling $1.026 million each.

Jackson said the stop netted the largest heroin bust in a while for DTF.

“The street value of the drugs is estimated at $5,000,” he said.
