Alfa Insurance Agent Troy Bryan of Andalusia was recently named the 2014 top commercial producer in Alabama during the company’s annual awards ceremony.

Bryan, who has been a local Alfa agent since May of 2001, said it was the first time he won the company competition. He received the Distinguished Service Award – Bronze Level – at the ceremony held at the Montgomery Renaissance Hotel on Feb. 23.

An Elba native, Bryan studied at Troy University and worked for Nor-tel in Ohio and Maryland before joining Alfa.

“You know, when you first get out of school, you want to get as far away as you can,” he said. “It didn’t take me long to figure out that was a different way of life, so when I got this opportunity, I came home.”

Bryan enjoys hunting and fishing, and owns a head of registered Angus cattle. He and his wife, Tiffany, have one son, John Tyler.
