Plenty of folks turned out for the Andalusia Adult Activity Center’s Red, White and Blue Senior Appreciation Day at the Kiwanis Community Center on Thursday.

There, many veterans were honored and given quilts.

Additionally, competitions were held for the best dancer, costume, quilter and the Cookie Queen, to name a few.

Susan Bakdo of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., was christened the Cookie Queen at the event.

Tina Williamson (top right) won the dance contest; and Tiffany Barnes (bottom) won first place in the costume contest.

Several dignitaries attended the event, which celebrated its 20th annual event.
