Pleasant Home rallied in the final inning to drop Andalusia 10-4 Friday night in the first game of the Kirsten L. Dean softball tournament in Straughn.

 

The Lady Eagles jumped out front 1-0 in the top of the first when Taylor McGhee walked with the bases loaded to score Tammi Hilson from third.

 

In the bottom of the first, Andalusia’s Millie Manring drove in Aalyia Lawrence with a RBI double.

 

PHS took the lead back in the top of the third when Cassidy Godwin singled to center field to drive in Jade Self.

 

Godwin later came around to score on an error, and Camille Holley drove in Abby Walker with a fielder’s choice to put the Lady Eagles up, 4-1.

 

Andalusia battled back in the bottom half of the third with a pair of runs scored by Haley Snider and Lawrence.

 

Snider tied the game up for the Bulldogs in the bottom of the fifth when she drove in Ballard.

 

The Lady Eagles turned up the offense in the top of the sixth, and brought around six runs to score.

 

Hilson, Self, Bulger and Bella Worley each drove in runs to take control of the contest.

 

Holley picked up the win on the mound for the Lady Eagles giving up just three hits, and finished the night with three strikeouts.

 

Bulger and Hilson drove in two runs each, and Tiffany Knoll went 2-for-2 at the plate in the contest.

 

Manring went 1-for-3 with two RBIs in the contest to lead the Lady Bulldogs.

 

Pleasant Home will face LAMP at 10 a.m., and Straughn at 2 p.m. today.

 

Andalusia will face LAMP at noon.
