Lady Eagles top Lady Bulldogs in extra innings

Pleasant Home downed Andalusia 5-4 in extra innings on the Lady Bulldogs’ senior night.

 

The Lady Eagles went up 1-0 in the top of the first when Taylor McGhee drove in Jade Self with a run scoring single.

 

In the bottom of the first, the Lady Bulldogs tied the contest 1-1 when Emily Terry scored from third on a throwing error.

 

The Lady Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third when Millie Manring drove in Terry with on a fielder’s choice to shortstop.

 

PHS battled back and tied the contest back up 2-2 in the top of the fifth when Self scored on a throwing error.

 

AHS didn’t waste any time taking the lead back in the bottom of the fifth when Zaria Jones drove in Merikal McCaskill with a single to right field.

 

In the top of the sixth, the Lady Eagles tied the contest up once again when Anna Bulger drove in a run with a single to center field.

 

The game remained tied until the Lady Eagles took a 4-3 lead in the top of the eighth Bella Worley scored off a single from Camille Holley.

 

Not ready to call it a night, the Lady Bulldogs tied the contest up 4-4 in the bottom of the eighth when Bryant drove in McCaskill with a single to right field.

 

In the top of the 10th inning, the Lady Eagles pushed across the winning run when Holley drove in Abby Walker to go up 5-4.

 

The Lady Bulldogs made valiant effort in the bottom of the 10th, but were unable to get a run across.
