Art teacher Margo Russell, clad in her signature overalls and yellow hat for posing, challenges two of her art students to draw by using the non-look on contour technique Monday afternoon in her art classroom.

Students Bren Sharpe and Susan Taylor never look away from their subject as they try to draw Russell by using their left and right brains.

Their works will be two of many on display at an art exhibit by Russell’s students, which will open on Sun., May 3, 2015, in the Dixon Room of the Andalusia Public Library.

The exhibit is called “Paintings and Sketches” and highlights Russell’s students’ recent works. Sunday’s opening lasts from 2-5 p.m.

Other students featured include Riven Adams, Ava Bailey, Savannah Cotton, Jamie Johnson, Ella Jordan, Eva Kanaley, Paisley Kennedy, Allie McMath, Holly Taylor, Cassidy Tillman, Ava Tomberlin and Kayley Williams.

The exhibit will continue through May 31.
