Each year, the Alabama Sports Festival (ASF) Foundation sponsors Alabama’s largest multi-sport amateur athletic event. The event was June 12-14 in Dothan, and included a wide variety of competitive sports such as swimming, archery, rugby, diving, gymnastics and soccer with participants attending from all over the state. Andalusia natives Ellis Mount, Franklin Osorio and West Parker played with the Enterprise Blue Devils soccer club. After defeating teams from Prattville, Montgomery, Auburn and Birmingham, the Blue Devils won the gold medal and the opportunity to compete in the national games held in Nebraska.
