The Opp City Schools Board of Education approved two late hires at its meeting Tuesday night.

Larry Wratchford and Joshua Rayborn were offered employment as a bus driver and maintenance worker, respectively.

Vanessa Hernandez was granted family and medical leave effective Aug.. 3.

In other business, the board:

• approved the FY 2016 Child Nutrition Bids to Earthgrains for bread, Bedsole Ice Cream for ice cream and Borden Dairy for milk; and,

• approved the financial report for the month of June.
