PATRICIA ANN JACKSON

Mrs. Patricia Ann Jackson Henley, 67, of Andalusia, passed away on Thurs., July 30, 2015, in Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

Funeral services were held on Mon., Aug. 3, 2015, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Durwood Cleland and Lavon Burke officiating. Interment followed in Red Oak Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Harold Ray Dewrell, Patrick Dewrell and Chris and Angel Dewrell, all of Andalusia, her grandchildren, Dusty Dewrell, Justin Dewrell, Trevor Dewrell and Kristin Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Gabe Dewrell, Noah Dewrell and Harp Dewrell.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Henley; her parents, R.D. and Lonie Jackson; and two infant brothers.

Pallbearers were Leon Hattaway, Darrell Smithart, Chase Nolen, Pete Dewrell, Tommy Cantaline and Zack Cassady.

MARY BLANCHE JAY

Mrs. Mary Blanche Jay, 87, of Andalusia, passed away on Wed., July 29, 2015, in Mississippi.

Funeral services were held on Sun., Aug. 2, 2015, from First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Richburg officiating. Interment followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jane Jay and Charlie Hopkins of McCool, Miss., Melissa Jay Foshee of Montgomery and Mary Jay and Steve Thomas of Andalusia; grandchildren, Tara Tubbs McClendon, Mary Catherine Foshee, Anna Grace Thomas and Max Thomas; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jay was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Max Jay.

Pallbearers included Howard Beatty, John Odom, John Weaver, Ziba Anderson, Ken Johnson and Kim Dyess.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be sent to Hope for LaGonave, PO Box 77, Elm Springs, AR 72728. HFL is a Christian organization founded by the family of Matthew Baugh to provide food, health care and an education for impoverished Haitian Children. He served as a missionary on the island of LaGonave in Haiti until his death in 2006. Rev. Baugh was Mrs. Jay’s great nephew.
