More than 340 children need your help for Christmas this holiday season.

Andalusia’s Community Christmas registered those children for its financial assistance program that helps put presents under the Christmas trees of needy families.

To make this possible, the non-profit relies on the help of local residents and civic clubs in Andalusia, as well as individuals to purchase presents or make donations to purchase the presents.

Children range in age from 2 years old to 10 years old. Children receive clothes and toys.

Packages are to dropped off on Fri., Dec. 4, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., Sat., Dec. 5, from 8 a.m. until noon and Sun., Dec. 6, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., at the Kiwanis Building on the South Bypass.

Gifts should not be wrapped.

The Christmas party is scheduled for Fri., Dec. 18, at 6:30 p.m, at the Kiwanis Building.

“We depend on the community to help us make this a success,” Larry Avery, Community Christmas organizer said.
