Just after midnight Wednesday night, Andalusia Police Dept. officers responded to a call on McLendon Avenue in reference to an assault and robbery.

The male victim had been assaulted and several hundred dollars taken from his wallet by two unknown assailants. He sustained minor injury from the assault.

The victim did not know the two men who assaulted him. Officers Cole Mock and Sgt. Anthony Hattaway responded to the call. The incident remains under investigation.
