The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs used a big first half to defeat the Opp Lady Bobcats 33-21 Friday night in Opp.

Andalusia jumped out to a 12-2 lead in the opening period. Kimberly Landrum got a layup at the buzzer off an assist from Shay Thompson to give the Lady Bulldogs a 10-point advantage.

Alex Crittenden then picked up 4 points in the second period to put the Lady Bulldogs on top 20-6 at halftime.

The Lady Bobcats never gave up hope and continued to battle back into the contest.

At the end of the third period, Andalusia held a 27-16 lead.

Opp continued to fight in the final period, but couldn’t close the gap on the Lady Bulldogs.

Landrum led the Lady Bulldogs with 10 points.

“I tried just about every combo I could think of tonight,” Andalusia head coach Brad Garner said. “These last few games are just practice for the area, and I wanted to get everyone as much playing time as possible.”
