Vicki Joanne Gaston

Mrs. Vicki Joanne Gaston, age 63, of Andalusia, passed away Feb. 1, 2016.

Vicki was born Aug. 8, 1952, in Plymouth, Mass., to Norman and Alice Ibbitson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roger Ibbitson. Vicki enjoyed playing cards, computer games such as “Pogo,” NASCAR, and bowling with and serving as active secretary of the “ Thursday Morning Bowling League.” She was an avid Alabama fan.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Richard Gaston of Andalusia; brother, SSGT Philip Ibbitson, USMC, (Ret.) of Newport, N.C.; two sisters, Cheryl Beucher of San Diego, Calif., and Brenda Hamrick of West Virginia; two sons, Rich Gaston and Rosie of St. Petersburg, Fla., and HMC Raymond Cason, USN, (Ret.) and Kelly of Keystone Heights, Fla; four daughters, Lisa Hayes of Springhill, Fla., Chrystal McCollough and Dustin of Daphne, Ala., Susan Cox and Rodney of River Falls, Ala., and Gretchen Byrd and Clint of Montgomery; 16 grandchildren, Ashley, Jerry, Brianna, Christopher, Christina, Gretchen Marie, Grace, Austin, Ariana, Abigail, Rebekah, Jhenna, Nick, Casey, Haley and Hayden; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Brenda, Mary, Debbie, Flori, Connie, Teresa and Zac.

Vicki will be truly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Arrangements are under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Hartford, Ala.

 

DOROTHY JEAN MCBRIDE

Mrs. Dorothy Jean McBride, 83, of Andalusia, passed away Fri., Jan. 29, 2016, at her residence.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tues., Feb. 2, 2016, at Calvary Holiness Church with Brother Mark Sims officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Coffee County. Visitation was at Calvary Holiness Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe and Faye McBride of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Heather (John) McBride, Billy Joe (Brittany) McBride, Angel (Dusty) Smith, all of Babbie, Deanna (Chris) Stinson of Greenville, Delesa Fisher of Baker, Fla., Christopher Alan McBride of Andalusia; 16 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Hazel Mac Adams of Orlando, Fla.

Her husband, William Paul “W. P.” McBride, and daughter, Lesa Tod McBride, preceded her in death.
